Person Feeds Stray Cat Who 'Barely Tolerates' Them For Months, Then Suddenly, The Momma Cat Brings Them Her Adorable Kittens

If there is one thing that we have learned in our time here at ICHC, it's that it's not really us who choose the cats, it's the cats who choose their humans. And they do it in their own time and on their own terms. Sometimes, you will get chosen by a random kitten that stops you on the street. Other times, you will have to work for it. You will feed a stray cat for months and months, hoping to get the slightest bit of affection, but it will only happen once the cat chooses you and not a meowment before.

In this story, clearly, the time has come. This hooman has been chosen. After months and months of careful consideration, this momma cat has deemed this human worthy, and not only did she give them her affection, she also put them on babysitting duty.

What we have learned from stories like these is that… that cats just make you think that they can't tolerate you, just in case they decide you're not the right person to take them in. But once they make a decision - once you get chosen - then and only then will their true feelings toward you show.

And this poor sweet momma cat clearly has decided that it's time to get some help. She is incredibly small, and we don't know if it's because she is young or hungry, but regardless, we think she did the right thing coming to you, and she certainly made the right choice with this hooman.
